While Mike was taking Vella to the airport, I was taking Travis over to LRMC, which is the acronym for Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. He has had a lump on his neck for over a month and after the flight surgeon took a look about two weeks ago, he sent us to see the ENT surgeon. The appointment was a little scary just because he was very open and informative and explained everything as we went through the appointment.
Long story, short version: They did a biopsy and are hoping to rule out a parotid gland tumor and lymphoma. They did put him on antibiotics and hope that it is some type of infection in his lymph node that will respond to medicine.
After trying not to fret and worry about it too much and instead focusing on positive results and with much faith in the blessings our Father in Heaven showers down on us, we are so happy to report the lump is getting smaller everyday!
We will be back at the hospital a week from Wednesday to go over all the biopsy results and see how well the antibiotic worked, but all three of us think it will be all good news! We are so thankful for all of your prayers and good wishes!

As you probably are all so aware of Saturday, May 21st, was supposed to be the end of the world as we know it. But, did you know it was also son, Scott's birthday!? I'm glad he didn't have to interrupt any of his plans for the Rapture :)

Saturday we went to the Frankfurt Temple for stake temple day. Mike and I both helped with the youth baptisms. We have so many youth who like to go, that the temple actually gave our ward three sessions. What a blessing to live among such a strong, faithful military ward. Great families, great kids and great friends! It was a wonderful way to spend our Saturday!!
