Good news about our dog, Max. Pat and Donna offered to let him come live at their place and hang out with their dog, Rooster. We weren't to sure about that. Max is almost twelve and has never "played well with others". We were sure that there would be an all out dog war with snarling, gnashing teeth, fur flying and even some blood involved. Our other choice was to have our faithful little companion put to sleep. On Thursday we told T.J. to say good-bye before he went to school. He loves that dog and they have been best buds since T.J. was three. We didn't know what would end up happening but a decision would have to be made that day.
Well Mike took Max out to Pat and Donna's and lo and behold, he and Rooster actually got along!! They must have mellowed in their old age and they seem to almost enjoy each other's company. Now Max, the pampered, groomed pooch has become the wild, critter -chasing ranch dog he probably always dreamed of being. Max is on the left and Rooster on the right in the pic.
Thank you Pat, Donna, and Rooster for making this part of our move have a much happier ending than the one we were dreading!
Our next blog entry will be from Germany...love to you all,
Corri
