Travis left for Camp Helaman. It's a week long church camp for 16-17 year old guys. This year it was held in Switzerland. He had a great time hiking through cloud shrouded alps up to pristine glacier lakes. Losing one of the guys on a hike and not realizing he was missing until they were having seconds at dinner that evening (he was found safe and sound). Cooking and eating their own food. Getting flooded out of their tents during a torrential rainstorm. Playing ultimate frisbee and soccer. Listening to ghost stories. And most importantly learning great life lessons from some amazing leaders.
The highlight of my week (which usually involves food somehow) was when Mike and I went to dinner with friends Jerry and Barbara Youngblood at a golf course near their house. It was a delicious dinner and a beautiful evening.
